A list of schools of English In London and in the London area

The best way to choose a good English School is to get a recommendation from a friend. Also, if you are already in London, take a free lesson before you pay for your course. It is also a good idea to ask the school reception if you can have a look around. When looking around, you may ask students if they are happy with the school.

Sometimes it is better to learn a language privately or in a small group - especially true if you need English for a specific purpose. Find private lessons on this website.

Often, but not always, if a school has higher fees the tuition is better.

Warning! If a school is very cheap, be very careful!  Schools with higher fees  are usually - but not always - better.
